FUN-damentals of Fly Casting, Gear, & Knots for Kids!
Chris Korich, World Casting Champion and U.S. Team Coach, along with fellow volunteer instructors from GGACC, are helping prepare Bay Area kids (ages 8-12) for future fly fishing opportunities!
FUN youth casting sessions will emphasize the following foundational fly fishing skills, fish conservation and safety information:
Grip & Stance Alignment (at targets!)
Roll Casting
Pick Up & Lay-Down casts
Line Extending & Retrieving
Fish hooking, fighting, & releasing
Eye, skin, and water safety
While this pre-teen instruction will focus on basic fly casting skills by performing FUN drills and playing games, we will also be teaching your child about proper tackle use, set-up/take-down, maintenance, and basic knot tying.

- · Dates: August 5, 2018
- · Time: 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM
- · Cost: $5.00 per session (cash or check paid on-site)
- · Includes All equipment and lesson supplies
Please Note: All BAYFF and GGACC sponsored casting sessions, require full-time adult parent or legal guardian supervision and the signing of liability and photo release forms, before or at beginning of each event.
